If x-over limited, moving speakers and/or sub and/or listening position a bit could help correct. Or, a good reason to upgrade the AVR :-)
I already upgraded my AVR with the Pioneer SC-LX 704. I'm looking at the LX right now to upgrade my speakers. It's probably not a big deal to cross them at 80 when I think about it. It's not a brick wall so the advantages the speaker has under 80 will still be there.

FWIW...in my room, crossing the LX at 60hz instead of 80hz made a noticeable difference in the experience even though FR didn't show it. With the LX responsible for more bass, there was more punch/feel to the bass in my room.

It won't hurt to try 80hz and 50hz in your setup.

LX can also be run full range with ease, or you can try crossing at 50Hz or even lower. Always best to try different configurations.
