OK, sorry. I did a search and found Dave's answer to my question:
"Sierra-2 center and standard Sierra-2 are identical speakers. We rotate the ribbon 90 degrees if you plan on using the speaker positioned horizontally. In either configuration, it is a completely seamless blend with left/right Sierra-2."
Does the center come with any kind of feet or pads so it doesn't get scratched? If it doesn't does it matter which side it gets layed on? I'm looking at the Sierra 1 center.
I don't think they come with any pads. Doesn't matter which side it gets laid on.
Ok thanks. Now what is the NrT upgrade? I don't see any written about it in the description.
I believe the NRT upgrade on the S1 is the same tweeter used in the Towers (if not upgrading to RAAL).
From the Tower Intro page on the Ascend site:
Featuring our exclusive fully custom neodymium ring magnet tweeter built for us by SEAS, the NrT provides high frequency extension to 28kHz with exceptional transient response. It provides crisp and airy highs with effortless dynamics and many layers of detail.
If you don't plan on upgrading the S1 to S2 (or S2EX) in the future, you may want to consider the NrT upgrade. Suggest calling Ascend and chatting with Dina or Dave to help you with your final decision.
Here's a brief description from Dave just before the NrT was released:
