Ascend CBM-170 to replace Magnepans

I don't think it is necessary to use the cables that Ascend sells. Any good quality cable will do. I use 12 gauge speaker cable that I got from Home Depot.

As for the shelf...I do think it is high. You should contact Ascend to get a recommedation.

As it turns out the shelf isn't deep enough. I have another plan that would hold them at 34-36" but it won't happen right away, so the speakers will have to make do on the shelves until then. I went to home depot and picked up 40ft of 12 gauge cable for around $12, nice looking cable too. Thanks for the advice.
