If Dave made a floorstander based of the Sierra it probably would be a bit pricey, $2,000 or more. For the performance they'd deliver, however, it would be a bargain. $2,000 really isn't all that expensive when you look at all the speakers out there.

But think it looks a little out of proportion to be a floorstander....I think it needs to be a bit taller. It needs a base too.

But really, what is the appeal with the floorstanders? I have the 1s, run them without a sub, and really don't see how floorstanders would be better...
That's true, the Sierra-1 does sound fantastic. I think the only advantage of a floorstander would be that it could play louder with less distortion and fill a larger room more easily.
