Sierra Center Tweeter

So, it was YOU who got my vertical oriented center!!LOL I talked with Dave about this situation on Thursday and he said "no problems, just unscrew the tweet and rotate 90 degrees, replace screws." As was advised HAND ON SCREW-DRIVER TIP TO AVOID ACCIDENTS!! It would not be the first time I put a screw-driver through a component.

What kind of center speaker bracket is that? Does it attach to the tv? I need something like that for my LCD tv.

Have you given it a try, if I remember I think from the back through the port you can see the back of the tweeter, just to make sure nothing happened to the wires when rotating.

You are right, my post was not necessary. I had never taken the grill off the center, and I was just happy to see a rotated tweeter.

I purchased a double-arm mount, which I described in this post.

I can't really recommend it. Unless the two arms are fully extended, the joint in the two arms must extend right or left. Although the arms are very solid, when you add weight to the tray the tray tips slightly. My arm extends to the left. With the 340's, there was a slight right tilt, but with the lighter Sierra, there is no tilt.

I also have an Idealume bias light behind the TV. I did not like the light coming between the speaker and the TV, so I inserted a strip of foam between the two. Home Depot sells foam strips that are intended to seal a window A/C in a window. It is a very light-wieght compressable foam and it works perfectly. In the picture, it appears a little grayer than it actually is.

No not yet. Today I have nothing planned but some tasty chow and listening to my Sierras. I'm maybe 20 hours into them. I will wait another 20 hours before I even mess with cross-overs or serious listening. For now its JUST ALL GOOD!!

Well I finally got around to trying out the Sierras, I don't have a AVR so my brother helped me set something up, but when I took the grills off it looks like the center speaker crossover (Edit:meant tweeter) wasn't turned like I had expected. Here's some pictures. Speakers sound great, we tested them on the back porch, everything was clear and precise, brother is more of an audio nut then me and was impressed. He could tell right away by looking at them they were made from bamboo.

That would explain something that has been puzzling me since last week. Sorry for the inconvenience, looks like something either got mislabeled or the wrong package was shipped...

Rotating the tweeter is simple... Please remove the 4 screws, gently pull the tweeter out of the cabinet, turn it 90 degs, and re-install. If you are using the speaker horizontally, I do recommend rotating the tweeter.

Also, you should have received a full length grille rather than the shorter grille that is included with the left/right speakers. If you did not receive this, please send me an email or give us a call and we will ship it out to you ASAP.

Dave I sent an email, but in case anyone is interested, here is some of my questions?

The speaker grill that came with the center is short version, same as L & R.

Another thing I thought of, I wanted all speakers fully shielded since they will be placed next to a CRT HDTV, how do I verify the center speaker is shielded, and I didn't get someone else's L or R?
