    How is the break in coming along? I don't know what your experience has been with the 340's, but I found the 170's required very little or no break in. Always a raging debate among electronic and audio afficionados, I'm fairly curious about other's experiences.

    While I didn't notice a change in sound with my Ascends when I got them, I did notice that when I received my veneered CBMs back from DF they sounded different than the ones I still had at home. Unfortunately, since the cabinets are a bit different I can't say for sure that it was the difference between broken in and not.

    Can you describe the differences? Were new drivers put in?

    Dave told me it would take 50 hours for the cbm 170 to start sounding better.I personally havnt noticed any differnce yet , since i only have had them since wedsnday.
