Yeah Eddie...I have been involved with a few product launches, the UL approval is one the last things....in fact, if a hardware change is made, it needs to get re-approved.

If it is around $1000, great sound quality, and is user firmware upgradeable......it is a winner!

I can live without HDMI and Firewire, but don't you think it would have to be upgradeable for the new DD and DTS formats? Some folks have speculated that it will still be 2-4 years before Blu Ray or HD-DVD really takes off. That may be the case, but for any of us early-adopters, this thing will be obsolete in nine months if it can't be upgraded.

I do not know much about the new formats from DD and DTS, but if the firmware has enough space for more code and the processor powerful enough, then I do not think it is unreasonable to expect it.

Working in information technology, when I was younger I always wanted to try and use the latest software and gadgets. Now that I am older, I would rather use stuff that is proven and "solid".

    Curtis....

I believe there are some NAD decendants working for Outlaw.

It looks like their long-awaited 1070 receiver cosmetically, only taller.

Should be an interesting year for Outlaw as they launch several new products!

    SPECTACULAR! $1099 MSRP!

I'm eager to see the details regarding bass management though...

    Nicholas...get one!!

From the text, the bass management looks to be at least as good as what I have now, and I have always like the triple/quadruple crossover feature...it is what I miss from my old HK.

Now...for those that believe a pre/pro can make a sound difference......would love to read from folks that have extensive pre/pro experience. That is what put me over the edge on my P-965....those that didn't even sell it said it sounded great.

Oh, yeah, sure... let me just go out to my money tree and do some pruning!

My Model 950 is only 3 months old as is...

I want to see more info on it's bass management, and what (if any) EQ features it has. Otherwise the 950 does everything I need.

I doubt it has any EQ features....I would think that would have been a bullet in the text if it did.

When you find the info on the bass management...please pass it along....I will as well.
