    Grilles stay on...the kids do not even know they come off!

    Same here.....I think! If the kids know they come off, they don't mess with them.

    I'll take them off once in a great while when no one else is home, just to look at those expensive-looking Aerogel woofers!

    Ditto what Curtis and Mag said here - though my son is (so far) pretty good at staying away from Dad's good speakers (can't say the same for my cheap old Kenwoods upstairs though - and in that case the grills don't stop him anyway).

    I'm split - L&R are off, but center, RL, RR are on. With the black boxes I like the look of the grilles on, but with the wood I like the look of them off.

    my grills stay on so the fronts don't reflect light and just to protect the speaker if someone happened to bump into them or something. i know if i took them off i'd end up losing them.
    powdered toast man away!
