Default just how bad is lead shot?

Hmmm. Well, just how bad would it be to use lead shot? With no kids in the house for the forseable future, and the shot sealed up tight, are there any worries?

I ask because I just did it last week; I added about 35lbs of #7.5 lead shot or so to my woodtech/metaltech stands. Should I undo it (ctrl-z?)?

I'm guessing it'll be fine, but that's me not wanting to do more work.

    Default Leave it alone.......

don't bother changing it. The lead is not exposed and no food will come in contact with it (Right? ). Sand is probably cheaper, and you don't need to go to a gun shop, or sporting goods store to purchase it, so most people use it.

Heh, I'll try not to eat off of the stands

I picked shot because I was worried about the sand leaking through the bottom of the stands if things loosened up at all.

Phew, now I can relax and take down the toxic waste site yellow caution tape and remove my superfund site funding request.

Jonny, don't stress about the lead shot at all. BTW I believe there is an area in north Omaha that actually IS included in a lead superfund clean-up...really. Adding your home-theater to that project shouldn't be a problem!

Haha, I know! Before I moved up here I found that out, and decided that the North-East side of town was an area I wasn't going to house hunt in

At least I know where I can dump my extra shot. Heh. (Not that I would ever do that, I grew up in a state park in NY, so I am part tree-hugger )

How far are you from Omaha?
