Default Grill hole question - DIY painting a Sierra speaker cabinet

    Has anyone undertaken this task?

I have a spare pair of Sierra RAAL towers, but I really would like it to be gloss white.

I have no qualms about disassembling the speaker components, priming, sanding, painting, and gloss coating the cabinet.

My concern is with the grill holes (as it is not a newer magnetic cabinet). Ideally, I would just remove them and reinsert another set after the job if that were possible. Black does stand out against a planned white face, but alas… that’s what I’m working with.

Are the rubber female grill holes easily removed?

Perhaps you can reface the grills with a white acoustical cloth...unless of course you're looking to avoid the grill covers entirely... otherwise I'd pose this question to Ascend directly....if he(Dave) doesn't chime in here.
