Seems the speaker sounds just fine above the monitor pointed down towards our seating area.

Looks great. I can't tell from the pic but be sure to "flip" the horizon so that the tweeter is on the bottom and woofers on top.Originally Posted by davethedyer

it's the Raal version. I've never seen that suggestion before. Is it due to the speaker positioned above the monitor? I'm guessing you believe the tweeter would then be closer to ear level. Please chime in. It does sound pretty darn good now LOL.

The RAAL ribbon is very directional vertically. By flipping the speaker, the RAAL is now quite a bit closer to ear-level. From an objective standpoint, highly recommended.
