    Question Sierra-2 Sourrounds Placement Question

I have five Sierra-2 speakers (planning on the EX upgrade) which were previously in a 5.1 HT setup. Recently moved into a place with a "non-optimal" basement and am about to start wiring up the speakers.

    Questions:
    a. Is it acceptable to mount the "side surrounds" on the back wall, or should they be directly to the right and left of the sitting position (choosing to go with 5.1.4 over 7.1.2). Depending on the answer, which direction should they face?
    b. What is the optimal height for the Sierra-2 tweeter on the surrounds.

    1. Have a Marantz ST6015 receiver and plan to setup a 5.1.4 system.
    2. The back of the couch is about 3 feet in front of the rear wall.
    3. Sitting position is about 10 feet from the front speakers.
    4. Media area is roughly 12' wide by 13' deep, but is fully open to the right and left sides. Imagine a 30'' by 13' deep room, where the sitting area is smack dab in the middle of the 30' length. Unable to shift the media area to either end of the long room.

Back wall may be ok as your sitting area is only about 3' in front of that. I'd angle them toward the center of the room.

As to height, definitely above the back of the couch. Maybe a foot above ear level sitting should be ok.
