    Default ascend parts and longevity

There is a pair of NrT towers for sale in my area that were originally purchased in 2013. Are there typically any concerns for the drivers or crossover components for a speaker this age?

Seven years typically isn't very old for speakers, and they should be fine. Drivers and crossovers usually last a lot longer than seven years (20 or more is common).

One thing that could shorten life is if they were stored in a really hot and/or dry space, or they have been sitting in direct sunlight for a long time.

The main thing I would suggest checking for is that there are no signs of deterioration of the rubber surrounds on the woofers and midrange. Make sure they don't look dried out and don't have any cracks.

My Sierra NrT towers are about that age and the drivers look brand new.
