Anthem is oddly having a sale on their MCA 20 that is a couple models old. I have had one driving my front mains in my home theater system for several years and its been great. Very, very quite (meaning very high SNR). Alternatively, you can save a lot of money by picking up the older Parasound A21 used, usually around $1500.

I've been researching Class AB amplifiers and I stumbled across the Benchmark AHB2. It seems to be very well reviewed and not an awful price point.

I have a friend that just got the Benchmark, and he loves it.
Quite a change for him as he switched from tubes!

So I am not sure if he loves it because it is vastly different, or if he really enjoys the clean sound.

I continuously hear fantastic comments about this amp from our customers!

Another amp to consider would be a Vidar from Schiit Audio. I am using one with a pair of Lunas and really like it. Same power output as the Benchmark.

Particularly the older models, eg XPA Gen 2 and earlier, UPA-xx. I'm not so impressed with XPA Gen 3 & switching power supplies nor the BAS-X series (aside from inexpensive). IMO, though, the problem with Emotiva in general is they (Dan) are unethical.

The 2 Emotiva amplifiers that I currently have seem pretty decent. The PA-1 mono block amplifier. 140 watts each. Balanced XLR input. Only 3 pounds each. Class D. ICEPower. $300 each. No longer for sale tho, maybe the used market.

As far as the OPs choice of turntable, I would look for one that has Balanced XLR outputs if possible.

I had good luck with two of their multi-channel amps, the MPS-2 and the IPS-1, though I now have Benchmark AHB2s so I am not using the Emotivas currently (I should probably sell them).
