I’d call and talk to Dave about a custom height. Not sure if it’s possible, but it’s worth a phone call if that’s what you want. Of course the custom speakers are higher priced if it’s possible.

Good idea. I'll do that. I assume the towers would be beneficial versus the Sierra given a listening distance of about 13'? Really wish they were a little shorter. That's my only hold up on those.

I’d ask Dave all of your questions when you call. He will provide better info than I can and may have a totally different recommendation. . There is probably a very good chance you will have enough power for your listening preferences with a 2EX or DUO, but it’s hard to say until you actually know what db your listening levels are. The towers will be a for sure winner due to their efficiency.

All of the Ascend speakers are very nice. I only have experience with the RAAL speakers. I have the regular 2’s, 2EX’s, and a Horizon. All of them are awesome.

Nobody on the forum happens to live in or near SC who wouldn’t mind if I listened to your EX2, duo, horizon, etc.? Long shot but figured I would ask before I order to try these in my room.

I’m in MN. It’s the perfect place to visit this time of year. Lol

I’m in SoCal...not the right SC.

But “only” Sierra-2’s...which I love. Planning on upgrading to the 2EX.

Haha, close but not quite. And lol at "only" as I know those are fantastic as well.

UPDATE: I just placed an order for the Sierra 2EX as my left and right and the Sierra Horizon as my center. I went with the black bamboo cabinets.

I really want to hear them in my own room and see what I think. Also, just to be transparent, I will be comparing them against the following which I ordered from Crutchfield for comparison purposes using their cheap return shipping policy:

    - Revel M106 paired with the beastly Revel C208
    - JBL HDI 1600. The 4500 center isn't out until March, so unfortunately I won't have that one as my center.
    - PSA 110. I would pair these with another 110 or the 210 as the center.

That should pretty much cover my bases, although that Buchardt s400 is also tempting. Nah, I think my credit card is maxed out until I return some of these.

Some very different speakers in that group.

    Your thoughts will be interesting.
