Default Questions regarding Sierra 2EX upgrade from Sierra 1

Hello, I'm contemplating upgrading from Sierra 1's. I haven't done any speaker upgrade previously so if I do upgrade, would I just have the 1's components, or would they need to be returned?

I was also wondering if the pricing on the upgrade kits are on special for the 20th anniversary and will go up later on.

    Thanks!

You would have to ask Dave/Dina about returning the -1 parts.

Also, how old are your Sierra-1's? Some of the earlier Sierra-1 cabinets can be problematic with the upgrade. Might want to run the S/N's by Dave to get his advice.

I believe the pricing was supposed to increase a while ago, but hasn't because Dave has been sidelined with other things.

I purchased them last year, so they are fairly new. I'll reach out to them thanks for the information.

Dave posted that the pricing will go up on several products, including the EX upgrade kits. See this thread (at least for one example)

I don't think you are required to return the S1 parts, but doesn't hurt to check with Dave or Dina.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like its time to upgrade now instead of later then.
