Default black oak vs black matte

Has anyone compared the Rythmik black oak vs black matte finishes...and if so how do they compare for looks and durability?

I deleted my reply as I thought it was for Ascend speakers.

Black Oak has grain and a satin finish (slight sheen), black matte has a flat textured finish. Rythmik's black matte is the same finish as on our 170's/200's/340's.

Both finishes are a PVC wrap so with regards to durability - they are the same. I generally prefer the look of the black matte as it is more discrete.

I have a F12 in black oak and a FV15HP in black matte. They both look good, from a distance the main difference is a higher sheen on the oak. I prefer the matte in the home theater due to lower reflections, but think the oak looks slightly better in the living room system. Overall they're pretty similar and you can't go wrong with either.

Rythmik also has a matte black paint finish. Not sure if the op may be referring to that?

No I was referring to the vinyl finishes. Thanks to all for their input!
