Here are a couple quick pictures of the brackets I was talking about.

    Lookin great. Thanks for that

I found this on amazon, with a 8 by 10 top plate. If i had known about this, i'd probably preferred it to my Pangea which has 8 by 8

We have an Ekornes stressless sofa with ottoman and 2 matching recliners in our living room in a home theater configuration.

They are costly, but your back will never go back.

On my Pangea stands, i cringe placing the Sierra 2 as it only covers about 50% of the area of the S2's base
I recommend using museum wax or similar to secure the speaker to the stand. Small top plates seem to be the norm these days.

    Dave,

I've heard about museum wax, but I've always been concerned with discoloration and possible de-lamination during removal. Do you have a particular recommended product?

I've used Blu-tack for years with no problems...

    Same...

Blu-tack works very well and we have never received a report from a customer who had damaged a Sierra finish due to Blu-tack.

Just make that you use a minimal amount of Blu-tac, about the size of a pea, or smaller. It will spread out and hold better with time. I used 4 larger pieces once and managed to delaminate a splinter off of my (non Ascend) speaker
Use a rotating motion to release.
