    Hi Frank,

It is Curtis from the HTF board.

I don't think any one here will tell you the CMT-340 is too bright. And ofcourse, I think it is very clean and tight, well balanced and dynamic.

Not many people have the L/R version, but like I posted over on HTF, don't take my word for it, come over to my place to listen and judge for yourself, you are not too far.

Yeah Frank, many people have been to Curtis' place, so far I think most have survived!

Yeah JC, maybe since Curtis likes "Survivor" so much , he could host his own edition of it. The winner wins his Ascend system.

Great idea Ben, I see something like a cross between Big Brother and Survivor. Get Curtis and 8 willing participants to live in his place, crank up the Ascends with a non stop mix of Britteny Spears, and the last one who survives wins his setup.

Well, mine are scheduled to arrive today. Nice way to start a weekend don't you think? I'll leave them on all weekend while I have to attend a high school football game tonight followed by a casino night at the local fraternal organization, kid's soccer tomorrow and a dance in the evening, golf tourney on Sunday morning followed by a Franco-American Festival in the afternoon and evening. Apparently, I won't have much time for a critical listening session this weekend but I should be half liquored up by Sunday evening and I bet they'll sound good then even if not fully broken in yet.

Full bodied yet liquid. The rich mids and highs of the 170s plus more low end slam are my initial reactions. Give me and them a couple more weeks of break-in before I draw any conclusions. Another initial thought is wider dispersion. As such, I have to play around with setup before any final review. All in all, I like them a lot. What a bargain for high-end sound. I'll write more later, must attend a meeting right now.

Can someone post a pic of the 370s w/the grill off? The rear too, please. I'm really curious to see what they look like as there are no pics on the website.

I may get the 370s for L/R as opposed to the 170s. I plan on getting the 370C for the Center channel.

    Thanks.
