    Default 170 v 200 Timbre

    Hello,

Everything I've read is that the 170s are a bit warmer and recessed vs the 200s. My question is which is a better match to RAAL towers and Horizon?

    Thanks!

The 170's and 200's have a very similar sound -- the 170's sound a bit warmer simply because they produce more bass and are a ported design. With the towers as fronts, if placing the surrounds on stands - I generally recommend 170's. If wall mounting, go with the 200's. Of course, I am assuming you will be using these as surrounds.

Sierra-1 / Sierra-2 are an even better option, but for many listeners, this is overkill.
