Default Safety measures when working with electronics?

I've recently gotten interested in electronics but I have no one nearby thats experienced with it to help me. I was just wondering what safety measures should I pay attention to?

Welcome to the club! I have an electronics engineering job, but it has always been a passion for me. Your statement is quite broad, electronics has many forms. Assuming you meant building or repairing electronic equipment, this is a good, short essential list:

Do not mean to imply anything referring to a "For Dummies" pubblication, please do not take offense!

Most of all, use common sense and always check twice before doing something you cannot undo or could have harmful consequences. Other good sources of wisdom:

This last website also has a ton of information and tutorials on anything electronics.
