Rythmic with "natural" bamboo look?

Has there been any discussion with Rithmic about building a bamboo subwoofer cabinet to match the Ascend look and further reduce resonance?
I haven't seen a single bamboo subwoofer, so I wonder if it is a non-ideal material for subwoofers, or a very expensive one to work with for subs.

Brian did make one prototype, and it looked great, and as you guessed, it is cost prohibitive.

You could contract someone to make the enclosure, and buy the driver/amp combo from Rythmic.
