A company seeking a patent on a graphene transducer contacted me about a year ago regarding testing it out. The information provided to me looked interesting but I never got around to signing the NDA they sent me so I wasn't able to test anything first hand.
On the show Outrageous Acts of Science, they demonstrated how a thin piece of graphene cuts through an ice cube like butter by transferring the heat of your hand to the tip of the graphene. Really cool....
The Sierra 3 - amazing sound, wafer thin, and slices ice for your cocktails! The next multi-talented multichannel speaker!

I am all for it. Take that **** LOL.
Is there any commercial speaker/headphone product using this material yet?
How about a SUB using this material??
I can see somebody trying to employ this in headphone drivers in the near future. There is a big engineering boom in that world this last decade driven by the discovery that no matter how radically the prices on flagship headphones goes up it doesn't really hurt sales.
On the other hand we already have orthos and electrostats, both of which are very low mass and very good at transients.
I don't know enough about sound to use those words lol. I just want a good pair of all around good speakers with good reputation and customer service.
I have to hand it to Dave and Dina, I have yet to find a negative post out there about Ascend.
That takes some doing.
Yes the high end is where all the action is today those people have all the discretionary income left.
