    Default Wall mounts for

I have a pair of CBM-170 SE that I want to wall mount and use as rears in my 5.1 setup. On Ascend's product page, it says the recommended wall mount is no longer made. Link here: http://www.ascendacoustics.com/pages..._series20.html. What does Ascend recommend instead? Thanks!

I use these. They are a little tricky to mount once the speaker is up but work fine. I used some piano wire from the mount to the mounting bolts on the speaker for added safety.

Here is another thread with some suggestions, although a few people are using the ones mentioned above. I have my 200se mounted with piano wire on a heavy duty picture bracket...the 170's are heavier though....too bad the mfg stopped making the Omni 20's.

    Here is that thread...good luck....http://forum.ascendacoustics.com/sho...+mounts+cbm170

I have been told that Omnimount will once again start making these wall mount brackets. Keeping my fingers crossed....

Good news...Dave....will Ascend carry stock, if they do? I'd sure prefer those to my makeshift solution...I currently use...lol

    Thanks for the heads up...Bill

I have a set of those 20's, they are a great bracket for the 170's.

We hope to carry these once again but we are not sure at this point.

Thanks for the advice. I actually think I'm going to end up with ceiling mounts. What specs am I looking for to make sure I don't need to modify my speaker?

I am working on my final mounting solution for my 170s as well and I have a question. How much room do they need behind them to 'breathe' on account of the rear port. I am basically trying to figure out how close I can get them to the wall, and my wife is getting a little fed up with me and my shenanigans ;-)
