Default Do you need a tubed phono stage if you have a tube preamp?

I thought I posted this earlier but don't see it anywhere. If you have a tubed preamp would you still use a tubed phone stage (external) or would you use a solid state phono stage since the preamp will add the tube sound?

It's all a matter of preference.

I've seen mixed tube and solid state components for preamps, amps, and phono stages.

I replaced my Pro-ject phono tube box with upgraded / matched tubes to a Jasmine LP2 mkII. The Jasmine (solid state) sounded more tube like.
