I'm bored, not sleepy yet, so I thought I'd create a post about this movie Drive.

This movie surprised the hell out of me in the fact that it has become one of my favorite movies of all time. If I had to describe it with one word, it would be intense. I'll say right now, this movie isn't for everyone. There are times when some people think it might be moving along kind of slow who are used to a lot of dialogue, but the atmosphere and subtleties during these moments are great. Furthermore, it has a FANTASTIC soundtrack, definitely an 80s vibe, great characters, cinematography, editing, and all that. It's actually been a few months since I've seen it, which means I'm due for another viewing.

Ryan Gosling is the lead, and he's completely different from his usual type-roles he's played in other movies. Also stars Bryan Cranston from Breaking Bad, another super intense and awesome production.

If you haven't seen Drive, I definitely recommend you see it and watch it to the end. IMO it's absolutely in the top3 films of 2011. Like I said before, it's brutally intense, pretty graphic and violent in parts, dreamy, surreal, and overall cool and stylish. I'd say it's something along the lines of Taxi Driver meets Vanishing Point meets Eastern Promises. No doubt it is one of my favorite movies of all time.
