I like the Standout designs furniture. Might fit one of the Compact Horizon Centers. Like ours.

A custom console with a painted finish might be very reasonable. Trendy even.

My eventual goal would be the Monitor on the wall, all 3 front speakers on stands, and my componets in a closet, or rack/console off to the side. A speaker as wonderful as the Horizon STC shouldn't be constrained.

Here is a link to what we use in our demo room. http://www.omnimount.com/products/ho...s/modena_55fp/

Omnimount makes a line of stands where the TV mounts to the stand itself and the center then fits underneath the TV. It is an excellent solution.

Obviously, this has addition placement benefits compared to the towers, but how do they sound in comparison and if there is a difference, what do you attribute it to?

    WOW!!

Dave, you just made me sick. Now I'll be useless the rest of the day. That looks amazing.

EDIT: My wallet suddenly felt a lot lighter.

    Ah, yes...The new Ascend Beast.

I am a Ascend Tower owner, and ex Sierra-1 owner, who still prefers stand mounted speakers.

I thought hard about getting the modified Ascend Horizons across the front. to go with my custom compact Horizon.

I would have wanted custom Sound Anchor stands too. Thus, coming in about 2 Grand more than a pair of Ascend Towers. if the price of the modified Horizons comes down to the price of the Towers, there will be some difficult decisions being made. There will be Zero competition in that price range. With The RAAL..... ?

5 in a room... better be a big room! I will be there with a chilled bottle of Martinelli's sparkling apple juice.

Blutarsky, please expand a bit. Am I misreading when I think your saying that your movement from Sierra-1's over to Towers was not a big positive? Is this for music or HT?

I also found out that the modified compact Horizon is too expensive for me. How about David taking pre-orders for a couple of months so that the production run could be larger, thereby enabling a lower price!

I traded up from my Sierras because I needed more SPL for my large room, and the Towers are more efficient. If I had a small room I would pick the Sierras again. Choose the right tool for the job. I love both.

In fact, we are looking at floor plans for a new smaller home, and I assumed from the git-go, I would have Sierras.
