    Default TV to Center spacing

I will be placing my nascent compact Horizon on a cabinet below my TV. I will be wall mounting the TV, and wonder how much vertical clearance to provide between the center and TV. The TV will protude a few inches.

    Good listening, indeed.

Ideally, the front of the speaker should be in front of the TV.

For vertical clearance, they should be as close together as possible.

Curtis, thanks again...I thought a little room for the speaker to breathe.

I see that it might be better for video though. What about 4 inches, and tilt the center up 8 deg? My cabinet is 23 in high.

Where is everybody? I see tumbleweeds blowing down the street here.

I'd leave maybe an inch from the top of the speaker to the bottom of the TV.

No "breathing" needed. You want the sounds from the speaker to seem like they are coming from the TV.

Perfect world, height for all the front stage tweeters should be somewhere in the bottom half of the TV, which should also be the height of your eyes/ears when watching TV.
