Man, this is a bittersweet day. I have been waiting for the official pre-order/release since the beginning. When the NrT upgrade was announced, I was waiting for the release and pre-order as well, and was one of the 1st to pull the trigger. I have been enjoying the NrT's ever since!

Now, with the Sierra-2 upgrade staring me in the face, I am having a mental battle here. The NrT was less than half the cost for the pair to upgrade. With Christmas and my daughter's birthday all in the next month, along with 2 tires for my car needing replacement, I think I may have to hold off. This is VERY difficult to do as I have been salivating over this upgrade since it was announced.

Dave, any chance of offering 0% financing over 6 months?

Maybe you could make the Sierra-2 a family present for Christmas with the thought that all in the family would get equal enjoyment from them. Not sure how that would go over thou.

Uhmmmm..........Yeeaaaahhhhh. A house full of females? Not a chance. It would be like getting my fiancé a flashlight for Christmas. I'm the only one who listens to my system which is in the basement.

    But thanks for the thought!

I just submitted my pre-order for two upgrade kits! Can't believe it, we've all been waiting so impatiently.

Too bad I didn't see Dave's post earlier. I pulled a late shift and went to bed about 6 AM. Just now seeing this, so hopefully I made it in time for the first shipment.

Hi guys, I've been searching on this thread, I see the tweeter pic, but I cannot find the woofer, did I missed some posts?
BTW, hats off to the Dave and his crew. Not many "highend" manufacturer take so much care in designing their products with common folks in their mind (and a real product upgrade path).

The woofer remains shrouded beneath a muslin mist.

We should get some pics within the next couple of weeks.

Sorry to just jump in here, but has there been any word about the sensitivity of the Sierra 2? Would it be significantly more or less sensitive than the Sierra 1/NrT?

We will get the full specs shortly, but here's the latest we know about the Sierra-2 sensitivity:

^ Thanks for clarifying that. I was trying to search through Dave's posts for Sierra-1 NrT sensitivity info. It's not listed on the product page.

    EDIT: found it!

    So that means:

    Sierra-2: 86 dB @ 1 watt / 1 meter
    Sierra-1: 86.5 dB @ 1 watt / 1 meter
    Sierra-1 NrT: 87 dB @ 1 watt / 1 meter
