SPL Meters

Hi all,

So what are Ascend customers using for SPL meters these days?

My old RadioShack meter went AWOL several months ago and I hadn't bothered to replace it. However, I'm feeling the need for another meter, preferably an upgrade. I'm not involved in pro audio anymore, so this would be personal/hobby usage for now.

The Galaxy Audio CM-140/CM-150 products seem to be decent and more accurate then our old friend from RadioShack. The CM-140 can be had for around $130 and the CM-150 for around $250.

I also looked into the one used in "gotta git dat boom boom boom" Sierra Horizon demo video (thread link: http://forum.ascendacoustics.com/sho...9395#post39395). It's hard to make out, but I think it's a Protek SL100.

I decided on the Galaxy Audio CM-150. It comes with all the basics, plus AC/DC signal outputs, a backlit display, and carry case.
