A friend told me about this company. They seem pretty good for the price..
    Anyone using their products?

For their amps, they use B&O IcePower modules, and add some of their own tweaks. In fact, there is a forum member "wyred4sound" here.

I have heard a few different amps that use the same modules (in fact, I use one myself), all seem to be excellent, tweaks or not.

Ascend also has a deal with IcePower based amps from Virtue Audio:

There are a lot of companies that are using IcePower modules now. One in particular that has pretty reasonable pricing...but I can't remember the name...it will come to me sooner or later.

    It isn't a forum here...it is a forum member. Don't know if he/she is affiliated with wyred4sound.

    Ahh...username is spelled with an "i" and not a "y": wired4sound

Thanks Curtis. I hadn't tried to search yet. The Virtue Audio Mono Blocks look good. I am using a PS Audio GCC-250 which might use B&O modules, they call them Gain Cells.

I am sold on Class D. No heat to deal with. That has to help durability.

I have not heard these, but they are very popular due to very competitive price.

i had tried the NHT ice based amps, but could not justify the $$/performance ratio over existing outlaw amp, so I returned it..

I don't think PS Audio uses IcePower modules. I could be wrong though. Defnitely class D.
