    Default Rythmik F12, F15

I am investigating subwoofers. Currently I'm using a Hsu Stf 2 10" which I purchased from Dave. It's done a fine job for home theater use but it's going to another room and I will need a replacement. I'm interested in the Rythmik F12. Does anyone have an F12 or even the F15. Would you share your experience with it?
    Thanks ,
    Tom

Tom, both would be significant step up in sound quality.

Thanks Curtis. I think what I'll do is order the F12 with the Towers. The F15s would be overkill I believe. My windows are double pane and very expensive to replace...if you get my drift. Unless Rythmik includes a damage insurance policy. Just kidding of course but my 10" Hsu has done a very good job with some very demanding material so the F12 should be great.

A 2nd F12 will do wonders my friend and truly change things in a better sonic way. Have you considered a 2nd F12?

If you don't mind me asking, which receiver and/or processing will you be using?

Brian, I will be using an old pre-HDMI Yamaha receiver. (95WPC RMS) The output LFE will go to the F12. Yes I know I really should upgrade my receiver. But you know it has done a great job for years. I think that maybe 2 subs would be overkill. But then again I do like bass!

I also have a Yamaha receiver and know and appreciate the warm sound they provide.

Think about smoothing more than volume when it comes to dual/stereo subs. You will run them at less gain (better SQ), you will naturally smooth the bass response (no more boomy), and get better fidelity all to maximize and equalize the pure sonics the Sierra Tower will produce. One listening session and you will be blown away at the differences in sound quality you will achieve. You can also have the privelage of running a lower crossover point to extract as much out of the towers all improving your sound without loosing any output or volume. So many available and adjustable opportunities with a setup like this.

I would never ever go back to a single sub setup no matter how big the sub is. You can't argue the physics and the aidable acoustic enhancement dual subs will bring to your ears. You can always return the 2nd sub but I would bet you my Yamaha receiver that you will keep it

I have owned a F12SE for about 1.5 yrs now. All I can say is that it's awesome. Sound quality and output are amazing in my room (17x19) for both music and movies. It literally shakes the house during movies. I would highly recommend them.

    I use a Yamaha RX-V1900 receiver with Sierras and F12se and it's a great 2.1 combo.

In the mean time I have built the DS1200 Sealed Rythmic 12" Sub. I built my own cabinet since I do wood working. And I agree with you it is outstanding. The woofer and amp are built for heavy duty and high output. No buyers remorse here!

I'm glad to hear that the 12" Rythmik can have great output. The FV12 is on my short list of subs to buy next spring when my budget allows a new sub.
