SANUS SYSTEMS SF-30B Steel Speaker Stand - suitable for CBM-170SE?

I actually don't use any kind of adhesive, just some pads to protect the speaker.

Others have used stuff like earthquake putty or blu-tak.

But then how do you seat the speakers on these stands?
May be the answer is obvious once I have the stands, but I do not have them right now

The top of the stand is just a platform that the speaker sits on.

I use that stand for my 170se surrounds with blutak and they are build well and look nice and are very stable. Kid/dogs/cats...it's all good.
