New Room HT/MP false wall advice for front speakers

I am currently remodeling a room into a HT/MP. This is going to be a projection type setup. I want to see if my plan is possible using either of the ascend speakers (340 or Sierra).
I am building a false wall. I am planning to mount an acoustically transparent fixed screen. I am planning to build a recessed area behind the screen to accomodate/conceal the FL, C and FR. The recessed area will be 22" deep. Here is a pic of the plan.

Can I use ascend speakers to accomplish my plan?

I don't see why not. With the Sierra's, you can order the port plugs which give you extra placement options. Such as placing them closer to wall or in an enclosure.
