    Default sierra potential

I have a pioneer 9040(thx) which is the vsx21. would i really hear much of a difference if i added a parasound amp or emotiva in the mix. I jsut feel like the pio pushes the limits of the speakers itself.

Do you feel like you are running out of output from the speakers? If you are after more headroom, the best way to determine this would be to use an SPL meter at your listening position and measure the SPL from the speakers (left and right speakers only) at the volume level you like to listen at. From there, and knowing the distance you are from the speakers, we can determine how much power you are drawing from your receiver and thus determine if you are actually running out of headroom and if another amp would help...

Feel free to post the measurements or send them to me directly.

    Thanks!
