Subwoofer set up

Is it ok to place my subwoofer in a corner of the room behind a recliner/chair ? I have some one coming to calibrate my TV and help with setting up the audio , I have a few choice spots to put the subwoofer but the most eye pleasing place is in the corner behind the recliner/chair . If behind the recliner/chair is a no no I would like to move it before the calibrater shows up. Just not sure if the subwoofer sound could/would be blocked by the chair or if maybe subwoofer could be adjusted as so it does not matter that it is behind a big leather chair .

it is not a "no no" but you should work with the calibrator to find the best spot out of your options.
