Sierra Speaker Stand???

What would be the negatives to mounting Sierra's on these wooden stands that typically hold plants or vases? They typically have 10" or 12" platforms on the top and about 24"-26" high. I figure some weight would have to be added into the stand. Please provide some feedback. Thanks guys.

I wouldn't expect any problems at all. If the stands/pedestals are hollow, I would recommend drilling a hole in the top and filling with dry sand...
