Then watch out for the side walls. You'll definitely need some sound treatments there.
Yeah it's unfortunate that they'll have to be moved towards the corners but it's a trade off between pure music listening and home theater. I was planning to build some absorption panels for the left wall and possibly the ceiling to treat first reflections. Unfortunately the right wall is more difficult with a fireplace sandwiched between two sets of sliding glass doors. The doors have curtains but it's obviously not ideal.
Anything else I should consider as a first step for treatments?
The new Ascend/Rhythmik front stage in my music/theater room in the basement.
F12 subs in the corners, RAAL Sierra Towers and RAAL Horizon for LCR.
These are replacing a Vandersteen system that I've had for ~15 years. I plan on adding 4 Lunas for surround/back duties sometime later this year...

Nice set-up!
Thanks!
The front wall, and two feet of the ceiling and side walls are covered in 2'X2' dark grey acoustic foam panels. I think I got them from Audio Advisor over 20 years ago.
They help cut down on high frequency sound reflections, and they also help the screen contrast ratio and perceived black levels by absorbing reflected light...
Very nice!
Thanks everyone
