    Default D-15SE vs. PB12-NSD/2

Any thoughts on how these two might compare?

It really depends on how loud your listening level and what your objective is. If you are into pure SPL, then PB12-NSD/2 will be a better choice. If you are into sound quality, many will tell you that our sealed subs are cleaner. There is an easy fix for SPL (although expensive) by buying multiple units. But there is no fix if the sound is not as clean (so matter if you buy 10 of them). A lot of people think if a sub can play 120db maximum SPL, then the sound quality at 100db would be better than another sub with maximum SPL of only 110db. This is unfortunately not true at all (not in any audio component, just look at power amplifier. We have 5W SET tube amps. I am not sure how good they are for 5W :-)). And very often, the opposite is true because all the engineering trade-offs to get maximum SPL high.
