Default Sierra 1s low volume imaging

    Hello!

I'm driving myself insane trying to find a speaker that impresses me and fits my budget. The reviews of the Sierra 1's struck me immediately because they all start with how amazing the imaging is. But, at what volume do they really begin to image well?

Ideally, I would like to fill a medium size room with detailed sound at reasonable listening levels - the level that you could hold a conversation with someone next to you without having to raise your voice. The larger more expensive towers I've auditioned recently that I liked (Paradigm, Def Tech, Axiom) only immpressed me at loud volumes that are unacceptable in a shared living environment. At lower volumes the soundstage collapses.

Can anyone with a pair of Sierra 1's in a medium size room comment?

    Thanks!

As I sit reading your post with music playing in the background I pulled out my SPL meter and my volumn is at 56db with plenty of detail. Source is a CD, 2 channel full range no sub. Sierra 1's have fantastic detail. However poor room acoustics and source material always rob detail.
