    Default denon avr-3808ci or poineer elite sc-05

    Hi all I'm in the market for a new a/v reciever I'm leaning on either the denon avr-3808ci or the pioneer elite sc-05 can anyone give some help in which one has the best performance / sound etc ? thanks

    i don't really know anything about either of those receivers, but for that same basic price range (or cheaper), you could go for separates with a company like emotiva or outlaw. if you haven't looked into those at all, i'd say take a look.

    I don't know about those models, but I have a Denon 3805 for HT and am very happy with it, it is a few years old. As drewface said, for 2 channel I went the separates route, in my opinion that is where the Sierra's really shine.
