Default About to make a purchase of Ascends

In the next couple of weeks I plan on purchasing my Ascends for my HT but am stuck on which to get. I am going full 7.1 and using an HSU VTF2 Mk3 sub. My room is 11.5' x 19' with 9' ceilings FYI.

With this size room, will CMB-170s be sufficient across the front with HTM-200s for all my surrounds? I am trying to keep costs down so that is why 170s are what I had planned. I can however splurge on a 340 for the center if that makes more sense with 170s at the LR position.

    Any advice is appreciated.

The CBM-170's and HTM-200's will have no problem with that size room.

What will you be using as a receiver?

I was thinking of an Onkyo TX-SR605 or a HK247. Still undecided.

HK has a good sound. Make sure that if you buy it, it has the latest firmware dated 2/2/08.

The advantage of getting 247 is it will provide you a good upgrade path if you decide to add separate amps later on. It has pre-outs and SR605 do not.
