Mastering engineers should be forced to watch all of the KEXP performances while audiophiles stare at them disapprovingly. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER, RECORDING INDUSTRY! Steven Wilson is one of the few people that does flat mastering, as he can get things right in mixing. That's why his albums sound so good, similar to KEXP. If only I could get full FLAC files of KEXP sessions.

Thanks a bunch. Yeah, there about 1100 full sessions according to the youtube playlist. I checked out CHVRCHES, The Joy Formidable, and Metric. Those were the first 3 bands that I recognized.

Vocals and guitar are impressive. I squeezed this in at the halftime of the Iowa Wisconsin game. Back to that now. Music later. GO HAWKS!

I'm a pinback fan. Clicked through most of those just now and will give wand a listen for sure.

    Thanks for this!

To get the very best recordings from CDs, go to: http://dr.loudness-war.info

There you can find the album version that has been the least compressed. Once you find the catalog number go to: https://www.discogs.com and purchase by the catalog number.

This won't make up for a poor recording, but it will at the very least get every ounce of quality possible from the record. I don't buy a disc any other way anymore.

I was using my ps3 mainly for blu-rays but last night I opened up the VidZone app. I was amazed at the audio quality. My tv input info shows "PCM".

Their "TV" stations make it feel like I am watching what MTV used to be. They have a ton of content and I'm thinking this may be CD quality. It would be nice to know what you all think.

I've always been a fan of music videos and the audio quality I was hearing was impressive. I think I'll be watching/listening to this quite a bit this weekend.

This app is also on ps4. Has anyone else used it?

Some great options here. Wonderful thread. Testing out Chane speakers with Sierra-2's on their way...hopefully will overlap so I can compare with the Chane. In the end it doesn't matter...been listening to a *lot* more music!
