Loudspeaker Durability
As I am learning more and more about loudspeaker performance and accuracy, I see little to no information concerning durability. We've all seen 20 year old speakers that still sound darn good.
Can anyone speak to the accuracy of sound in the average speaker that is 5, 10, 15 years old? Cone materials I am sure would make a difference in degradation. Of course care, handling, environment too.
Maybe the best question here would be if dave has ever tested one of his original models, and compared the results to results taken years earlier.
Just throwing this out there, if anyone has good links, please share.
