It's best to have your mains match your center. What do you have for a center?

at this point i am using a paradigm cc-150

Can you bring the Polk's or the Boston's home for a test drive? If ya can, order a pair of 340SE's and do an in-home comparison. The differences will be apparent. Which one you perfer will make for an interesting write-up.
All of us here are Ascendoholics but we realize it's not for everyone. There is no substitute for in-home comparison. That's one of the reasons that Ascend eats part of the shipping cost on their speakers. The trip is usually one way.
