The front of your center channel speaker should be at the front edge of your TV. This will prevent sounds from reflecting off the top of your TV and away from the listener. The 340cc is desinged to be flush with the front of a TV because of the XBAC crossover design.

You can tilt your center a bit (I do), but you don't have to do much.

Not that it matters but what is a XBAC crossover design?

Its an acronym which means something to the extent extended baffle advanced? compensation. It basically is a crossover designed to deal with the nature of being placed ontop of a large object which interfers with sound. I am sure someone will come along and clarify but that is a basic explination.

    From the Ascend site:

"Advanced crossover featuring our proprietary EXBAC circuit. EXBAC stands for Extended Baffle Compensation. In a nutshell, this circuit compensates for the various frequency and phase anomalies created by placing a speaker on a large surface such as a TV."
