Ever Martin Luther King Jr. day (and from time to time during the year), I sit and listen to him speak. Typically I listen to "I've been to the mountain top" and "I have a dream". The recordings aren't that good, but there is no music that moves me as much as those speeches.

If you've never taken the time to sit and listen to the speeches, consider doing so today. If you've only listened to "I have a dream" and have never heard "I've been to the mountain top", then take the time to listen to it - his last speech. It's very moving and my favorite.

"I have a dream" can be viewed on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbUtL_0vAJk

If you're interested in the full versions of several of MLK's speeches, get this audiobook: http://www.amazon.com/Call-Conscienc...277794-4289629

It's what I'm listening today.

Of course, THE source for all things MLK is the King Institute at Stanford: http://www.stanford.edu/group/King Which includes copies of his writings, the text of speeches and clips of his speeches. Take a look at their popular request area - http://www.stanford.edu/group/King/popular_requests/

Their clip from "I've been to the mountain top" is the very end of a much longer speech.

I hope all of you enjoy your day and those who care to enjoy taking a moment to honor the day.
