Fundamental vs harmonic hearing

Someone on the AV123 forum posted a neat test to take that shows if you lean toward hearing fundamental or harmonics more in sound. It's based on some research going on in Germany. Part of it is about preference in instruments seems to be tied to which part of sound your brain latches onto most. Neat stuff for music/audio geeks.

After you take the test, you can see my post in the thread for spectral plots of the tones to get another level of understanding of what you were hearing.

The original poster also posted an image that shows the statistical preference for some instruments - see if your results match your preferences.
