Question EXBAC or non-EXBAC, 340 SE on a stand?

I know that I can directly contact Ascend regarding this, but perhaps someone already got an answer to this question? If not, this thread will give info to potential buyers, as I will contact Ascend for an answer.

Does the 340 SEC with EXBAC network still have any benefits when used on a speaker stand, not on top of TV?

Or in this case a regular 340 SE is the better option?

    - Jay

P.S. I'm going to use this 13-inch-high stand (w/ top plate tilting toward listener):

The speaker will be placed horizontally. The back of the speaker will be two feet away from the wall. The floor is carpeted.

Please let me know if more installation specifics are needed.

I seem to recall that if the speaker will be about two feet from any reflective surfaces (walls, tv, entertainment center, etc), then a regular 340SE with the tweeter rotated would be a fine option.

That's just off the top of my head though, so I could be wrong.

The SE tweeter is no-longer rotated if I recall correctly.

Here is a good thread with Dave's input on EXBAC vs. no-EXBAC:

    Yup....within 2 feet of a reflective surface.

    Good catch on the non-rotation.

Is that even a correct use of the word? Heh. Silly english language.
