    I don't know if they'll satisfy the hard core Trekies but I'm pretty sure I'll be renting the DVD's as they become available. CBS knows they have to deliver with the initial release. I don't think they can afford to drop the ball on this one.

    I first saw this on /. yesterday and all I could think about it was: NOOOOOO!!!

    They should all take a clue from Lucas's mistakes and leave well enough alone. I wasn't born until after TOS had gone off the air, but I have seen all of the TOS episodes. They made those episodes with such a small budget, and did some amazing things with what was available.

    Certainly the idea of CG Enterprises with realistic-looking phasers and photon torpedos is appealing, but I'd rather they let TOS sit proudly in its place in history.
